HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison announced another transfer portal addition to its roster for the 2026-27 season, as Men's Basketball Head Coach
Preston Spradlin signed Marley Curtis on Friday, May 22.
Curtis, a 6-foot-8 forward from St. Louis Park, Minn., spent his freshman season at North Dakota, where he played in 30 games (eight starts) for the Fighting Hawks. He will have three seasons to play at JMU.
"Marley is a big physical wing that adds to the length and versatility of our roster," Spradlin said. "His experience gained competing for a championship in the Summit League has set him up for continued success as he transitions to our program.

2025-26 (North Dakota):
- Appeared in 30 games, making eight starts for UND in his freshman season
- Averaged 6.0 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 0.7 steals per game
- Had eight games with 10 or more points, including a season-high 19 against Mayville State (11/11)
- Scored 14 points and grabbed four rebounds at Creighton (11/19), playing 33 minutes
- Corralled season-high 10 boards against Coastal Carolina (11/22); had five or more rebounds on nine occasions
- Went 4-for-4 from the field and scored 14 points against Denver (2/7)
High School:
- Attended St. Louis Park High School
- Averaged 23 points per game as a senior
