All parking policies listed below are for a normal Saturday game day. For a weeknight game please refer to information published on the JMUSports.com website for that specific game.
NOTE: Parking passes must be printed out and shown to game day staff upon entry of a specific reserved lot. Digital copies of a parking pass are not permitted. Your physical copy of the parking pass must be displayed front facing in your vehicle's dashboard at all times. If permit is missing or cannot be seen, the vehicle is subject to being ticketed and towed.
Reserved Game Day Parking
Parking passes for reserved lots are provided to season ticket holders with specific lot assignments being determined by their Duke Club giving level. Reserved lots are indicated in purple on the map below. Tailgating in reserved lots is permitted starting at 8:00 a.m. for kickoff times that are 6pm or before. All kickoff times AFTER 6pm, tailgating is permitted to start at 12pm. All Tailgating must cease 2 hours after the end of the game. Parking for the 2025 season is sold-out. Please look below for other options.
General Game Day Parking
General parking is available at no charge on a first come, first served basis and cannot be reserved in advance. General lots are indicated in gray on the map below. General lots open for parking at 8:00 a.m. and tailgating may begin four hours prior to game time. All tailgating must cease at kick-off. Please see below for directions to general parking lots. Fans are encouraged to utilize the free parking options in the parking garages throughout campus.
Student Game Day Parking
A designated JMU student parking and tailgating area will be located in the R1 Lot, adjacent to D-Hub and Long Mauck Stadium. Vehicles will not be allowed access into the R1 Lot beginning at 8 p.m. on Friday and all remaining vehicles must be cleared by 6:00 a.m. on Saturday. Beginning at 6:00 a.m., any vehicle remaining in the lot will be ticketed and towed. This lot will become available starting 4 hours before game time and will be cleared 30 minutes before kickoff. To access the lot, the driver must present a valid JACard and game ticket and all passengers must also present a game ticket for entry. Any individual entering the R1 Lot on game day must present a football game ticket to gain access at one of the lot entry points.
Accessible Parking
Handicap accessible parking is available in lot C3 beginning at 8:00 a.m. on game day. A valid handicap hang-tag or license plate is required for access into the C3 lot. A handicap accessible shuttle is provided to drop off at the Godwin Transit Center (Gates C/D) and Gate A for elevator access.
RV/Bus Parking
You must purchase a pass and register your RV online prior to arriving on campus. You must print out the parking pass before arriving to the lot. RV's may arrive on campus Friday evening after 5:00 p.m. and must vacate by Sunday at 5:00 p.m. RV's must be in lot four hours prior to the game. All RV parking is located in lot R10 accessible from Hunters Road. RV parking passes can be purchased in advance at JMUTickets.com or by calling 540-568-3853. There is a limited availability for this lot.
Football Shuttle Service
Shuttle service is available for all home games beginning two hours prior to kickoff and continues for 1 hour after the game. Student housing shuttles will run from all major off campus housing units. Hotel shuttles will run from select Harrisonburg area hotels. Campus shuttles will run from Festival, Convocation Center (University Blvd. Bus Stop), and R8.

Directions to General Parking Lots
Warsaw Parking Deck, R2, B, M, S, T, V
- Exit 245, travel west on Port Republic Road.
- Turn right (north) onto South Main Street/US Route 11
- Warsaw Deck: At the stoplight, turn left onto Warsaw Ave. to access Lots J, T, Q Easton Harrison Avenue and the Warsaw Deck. There will be a free shuttle bus service at the Warsaw Deck turn around area behind the Performing Arts Center.
- Additional general lots can be accessed from Grace St. Turn right onto East Grace St. for the Grace St. Parking Deck and levels 2 and 3 of the Cantrell Parking Deck. Turn left onto West Grace Street for additional lots and parking behind Memorial Hall(former Harrisonburg High School).
Mason Parking Deck Levels 3-5, Cantrell Parking Deck, Grace St. Parking Deck), R12, Memorial Hall Lots, C8, C13, C14, C16, Z-lot, R9
- Exit 247B, and travel west on US-33.
- Turn left onto M.L.K. Jr. Way (traffic light).
- Access the upper level of the Cantrell Parking Deck by turning left off of M.L.K. Jr. Way at the top of the hill. Continue to the light at Mason Street to access the lower levels of the Cantrell Parking Deck and the Grace Street Parking Deck by turning left onto Mason Street (traffic light), and then left again onto East Grace Street. Proceed past the Student Success Center to the decks.
- To access R12 Lot, proceed past the old RMH and turn left into lot once passing Mason Street.
- To access Memorial Hall Lots, proceed on Cantrell Avenue, cross South Main Street - US Route 11, proceed over the bridge to the traffic light at South High Street/US-42. Memorial lots directly ahead.
Ballard Parking Deck, Festival Lots D3, C11, C12
- Exit 247A, and travel east on US-33.
- Turn right onto University Blvd.
- Turn right onto East Campus Drive.
- Access the Ballard Parking Deck on left.
- To access Festival Lots D3, C11, C12 proceed on East Campus Drive to lots directly ahead.
