Staedt was one of five finalists for the Tewaaraton Trophy for the nation's top player her senior season in 2003 and was also a 2002 Tewaaraton Trophy nominee. A three-time Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) All-American in 2001, 2002 and 2003, she was recognized on the first team her senior season. She was a two-time CAA Player of the Year as a junior and senior, as well as named to the All-South, All-CAA and Virginia Sports Information Directors All-State First Teams her last three seasons. She earned CAA All-Tournament honors in each of her last three seasons, including the Most Valuable Player award in 2003 after leading JMU to its second league title in three years. For her efforts in 2003, she was named JMU's Female Athlete of the Year. A four-year starter and member of the CAA Silver Anniversary team, Staedt holds JMU records for season (76 in 2003) and career (187) ground balls and ranks third on the Dukes' career goals list (161), fourth on the career points list (224) and fifth on the career assists list (63). She was also a member of the Dukes' 2000 NCAA semifinalist team, part of competing in three NCAA Tournaments in her career.
