HARRISONBURG, Va. - James Madison saw a tight first half slip away on Tuesday night, as Richmond handed the Dukes a 75-55 loss in non-conference men's basketball action at the JMU Convocation Center.
The Dukes (1-10) again struggled with turnovers, as they saw their 21 turned into 31 points for the Spiders (6-5), who surrendered just 11 turnovers of their own.

Joey McLean each had 12 points for the Dukes, with Vodanovich adding a team-high seven rebounds. Senior guard
Jackson Kent tallied five assists and five rebounds to go along with five points.
Richmond shot 48.1 percent (25-of-52) from the floor, including 40.9 percent (9-of-22) from three-point range. The Spiders had five players in double figures, led by T.J. Cline's double-double of 21 points and 11 rebounds. The Dukes shot 39.2 percent (20-of-51) on field goals, and just 15 percent (3-of-20) on shots from behind the arc.
McLean hit a three-pointer midway through the first half that put the Dukes within two points (15-13), but Richmond ended the period on a 21-10 run to pull away to a 13-point advantage at halftime (36-23).

"We turned it over too often again. It seems like every game we have a 10-12 minute stretch where, if we sustained it, we'd be in a totally different position than we are, but basketball is more than 10 minutes. We have to be better for longer."
