- As a junior, led HPCA to a 30-2 record and the North Carolina Private School 3A state semifinals

- Father, Robert, was a 1997 inductee into the Guilford College (Division III) Hall of Fame after going 92-19 in his collegiate career and winning the NAIA national championship in 1973. As a high school coach, Robert Kent has over 500 wins in 35 years with one state title, two runner-up finishes and three Guilford County Boys Basketball Coach of the Year honors
