- Attended High Medical School in Novi Sad and earned highest academic honor in the country of Serbia with a perfect GPA in all subjects for the ninth through 12th grades
- First student in school's history to complete a four-year accelerated learning program in three years

- First cousin of former NBA player Zarko Cabarkapa, who played three seasons from 2003 to 2006 with the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors (4.3 points, 2.1 rebounds in 150 career games)
