- The Dukes handled crosstown foe Eastern Mennonite in their last contest, outscoring the Royals 65-21 in the second half to romp to a 96-54 victory. JMU has started 4-0 at home for the first time since the 2010-11 season and started 7-2 overall for the first time since 2007-08. The Dukes are 14-4 at home in the short history of the Atlantic Union Bank Center.
- JMU's five Division I victories have been by a total of 15 points, winning by 5, 1, 3, 2 and 4 points, respectively. The Dukes have trailed at some point in the second half off all five victories. - The Dukes are led on offense by graduate transfer Takal Molson, who scored 25 points against Eastern Mennonite, the most by a JMU player this season. Molson finished just shy of his collegiate high of 28 points.
- Redshirt junior Jalen Hodge is shooting 17-for-33 (.515) from three this season. He has scored 51 of his 73 points via the three.

- Graduate transfer Alonzo Sule is tied for 11th in the country in field goal percentage (.692), making four or more baskets in six of JMU's nine games played.
