- James Madison men's hoops travels to Baltimore to close out non-conference play in a Wednesday morning tilt against Coppin State.
- The Dukes are coming off a 115-79 romp over LIU on Sunday, as a 65-point first half powered JMU to as much as a 62-point lead early in the second half. Making his season debut and playing against his father and LIU head coach Rod Strickland, redshirt sophomore Terell Strickland tied a career high with eight assists to go with eight points, five steals, and a pair of boards.
- The Dukes were undefeated in home non-conference play for the second straight season.

- JMU has scored 100 points or more five times this season, the first team to do so since the 1970-71 squad scored 100 six times.

- Coppin State is 4-9 and has lost three straight heading into Wednesday's matchup.
- The Eagles are led by Sam Sessums, who ranks fourth in the nation with an average of 23.7 points per game.
- Despite losing five of its last six games, Coppin State has scored at least 70 points in each of those contests.

- JMU and Coppin State have met four times, with JMU taking the first three and Coppin State winning the most recent matchup. The Eagles won for the first time in a 94-78 victory on Nov. 26, 2019 at the JMU Convocation Center in Harrisonburg.
