- James Madison will play its second of four straight road games on Thursday, heading to College of Charleston for a 7 p.m. matchup.
- The Dukes dropped their last contest at Delaware 81-60 on Monday. JMU held firm in the first half, closing the gap to three at the end of the half with an 8-2 run, but the Blue Hens pulled away in the second half behind 30 points for Jameer Nelson, Jr.
- Redshirt junior Vado Morse leads JMU on offense with 15.9 points per game this season, which ranks second in the league. Morse is averaging 20.0 points per game in league play, and has eclipsed 15 points in 13 of 14 conference tilts, including the last 10 games.
- With his 15 points on Monday, Morse became the first Duke to score 15 or more in 10 straight since Matt Lewis did so 12 straight times in 2019-20. He has also made at least three triples in every conference game but one this season.

- After missing a lengthy stretch due to injury, redshirt freshman Tyree Ihenacho has made strong contributions since returning to action, filling up the stat sheet by averaging 4.3 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.5 steals across his six games back.
- After giving up at least 80 regulation points in six of their first eight conference contests, the Dukes have held five of their last six opponents below the 80-point mark in regulation.
- The Dukes average 9.0 steals per game, and have 10 or more in 10 games this season, including 14 in the first matchup against CofC.
SCOUTING THE COUGARS
- College of Charleston enters Thursday's contest having won four of its last five, coming off a 79-75 win against Drexel on Monday.
- Graduate student John Meeks leads CofC with 15.1 points per game, fifth-most in the league.
- Freshman Reyne Smith averages 12.1 points per game and ranks second in the league with 2.7 three-pointers made per game. Smith also leads the league with a .939 free throw percentage, having missed just four free throws all season.
- CofC is outrebounding opponents 982-822 this season, ranking ninth in Division I with 40.9 rebounds per game.
SERIES HISTORY
- Thursday will be the 18th meeting between the two schools, with College of Charleston leading the series 11-6.
- The Dukes took the first meeting this season - in Harrisonburg on Jan. 22 - in a high-scoring, 95-94 affair. Morse set a career high with 32 points in that contest, making five threes and 13 free throws in the victory.
- The Dukes are looking to snap a four-game road losing streak in the series, last winning in Charleston on Feb. 11, 2016.
