Among players with at least 50 field goal attempts, three Dukes - redshirt freshman Justin Amadi (.647), graduate transfer Alonzo Sule (.609), and redshirt freshman Terell Strickland (.563) - are all shooting at least 55% from the field. The Dukes have only shot below 40% from the field twice in 2021-22.
- After missing a lengthy stretch due to injury, redshirt freshman Tyree Ihenacho returned to action for JMU on Thursday night, providing crucial minutes down the stretch for the Dukes and finishing with five points, seven boards, three assists and two steals.
- JMU has taken care of the basketball in recent games, turning the ball over fewer than 10 times in three of their last six. The Dukes' low turnover total has contributed to a 1.11 assist-to-turnover ratio this season, while opponents have a .90 ratio.
- The Dukes have given up 80 or more points in six of nine conference games, after not allowing a single opponent to reach 80 before conference play. JMU has also scored 80 or more five times in league play, after not doing so against a Division I non-conference foe.
