- James Madison will wrap up a three-game road swing in Philadelphia on Monday night, traveling to Drexel for a 7 p.m. matchup.
- The Dukes fought back from two separate 10-point deficits to force overtime in Saturday's game at Hofstra, but eventually fell to the Pride in the extra period, 85-78. Graduate transfer Charles Falden made 11 field goals and scored 25 points, both career-highs, becoming the third Duke with a 25-point performance this season.
- Redshirt junior Vado Morse leads JMU on offense with 15.9 points per game this season, which ranks second in the league. Morse is averaging 21.6 points per game in league play, and has eclipsed 20 points in seven of 10 conference tilts. Morse also played 43 of 45 minutes on Saturday, marking the most minutes a Duke has played in a game since Stuckey Mosley played 44 on Feb. 23, 2019.
- James Madison ranks 29th in the nation and first in the league with a 47.7% field goal percentage so far this season. Among players with at least 50 field goal attempts, a pair of active Dukes - redshirt freshman Justin Amadi (.640) and graduate transfer Alonzo Sule (.606) are shooting at least 60% from the field. JMU's second-half comeback to force overtime on Saturday was bouyed by a 56.7% shooting percentage in the period and the Dukes have shot at least 50% from the field in seven games this season.
- After missing a lengthy stretch due to injury, redshirt freshman Tyree Ihenacho returned to action to begin the road trip on Thursday. Ihenacho has grabbed seven rebounds and dished three assists in both games this weekend.
- The Dukes crashed the glass on Saturday, outrebounding Hofstra 38-35 after being outrebounded 35-27 in the first contest. JMU grabbed 29 of its 38 on the defensive end, the most defensive boards since Dec. 2 against Eastern Mennonite (31).
- JMU's trip-opening victory over Northeastern marked the first time since 2015-16 that the Dukes have swept the season series against the Huskies, one of the league's traditional powers.
SCOUTING THE DRAGONS
- Drexel is 5-5 in the conference but picked up a key win on Thursday, knocking off Delaware on the road, 76-68. Drexel will be looking to win consecutive games for just the second time this season, with its only other consecutive victories coming 20 days apart.
- The Dragons are led by senior guard Camryn Winter, who ranks third in the league with 15.9 points per game and ranks third in the conference with a .904 free-throw percentage, including a perfect 29-for-29 in conference play.
SERIES HISTORY
- The Dukes and Dragons matched up just 11 days ago at the Atlantic Union Bank Center, with Drexel winning 88-82. After a back-and-forth affair had the game deadlocked at 67, Drexel pulled out a 14-4 run over 4:05 to put the game out of reach.
- JMU last won in the City of Brotherly Love on Feb. 23, 2017, and is looking to snap a three-game road losing streak in the series.
