HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison Athletics has announced its full promotional schedule for the 2025–26 women's basketball season. The 2025-26 season is presented by Dick Myers. The women's basketball promotional schedule is packed with exciting themes, fan giveaways, and community celebrations at the Atlantic Union Bank Center.
The Dukes will host 17 regular-season games this season at the Atlantic Union Bank Center in their quest for another Sun Belt Title.
The season tips off with the home opener against Kent State on
Monday, Nov. 3. This will be fans' first opportunity to pick up the 2025-26 season poster!
The Duke hit the court again on
Thursday,
Nov. 6, when JMU welcomes in-state opponent George Mason for Faculty & Staff Appreciation Day, presented by CommonWealth One. All JMU faculty and staff in attendance will receive a gift courtesy of CommonWealth One, and early arriving fans can grab a 2025–26 schedule magnet while supplies last.
On
Wednesday, Nov. 12, the Dukes will honor those who serve during Military Appreciation Night against Liberty. Veterans and active-duty service members will be recognized during the game and can enjoy discounted tickets with a valid military ID at the box office.
Fans won't want to miss
Sunday, Nov. 16, as JMU takes on Villanova in a Mario Kart-themed Dukes Kart Game! The Atlantic Union Bank Center will transform into a fan-favorite racing celebration with a special Mario Kart-themed giveaway available while supplies last.
The energy continues
Sunday, Nov. 23, when the Dukes face Virginia Tech in a Thanksgiving week matchup. Fans are encouraged to wear purple for a Purple Out, as the team also takes the court in purple uniforms for a HoopsGiving celebration.
The non-conference schedule continues in December with VCU and Notre Dame. On
Sunday, Dec. 7, JMU hosts VCU for a
Brighten the Lights of Madison! White Out at the AUBC. Fans are encouraged to wear white, and early arrivals can take home a white rally towel giveaway while supplies last.
On
Sunday, Dec. 14, the Dukes take on Notre Dame in the first Duke Dog Reading Program (DDRP) game of the season, a holiday-themed matchup featuring a JMU holiday ornament and a Weiler Orthodontics Duke Dog giveaway. Members of participating DDRP schools can also claim a free ticket for this game.
The excitement carries into 2026, starting with
Saturday, Jan. 3, when the Dukes welcome Texas State to the Valley. Fans, arrive early to receive a team trading card pack – the seniors' cards will be available at a later date. JMU then welcomes Georgia Southern on
Saturday, Jan. 17 for a fun-filled Youth Day, Camper Reunion, and Pep Band Alumni Day. The event will feature kid-friendly activities and a high-energy atmosphere perfect for families.
Later that month, the Dukes will celebrate the next generation of athletes during National Girls and Women in Sports Day on
Saturday, Jan. 31, when they host South Alabama. Those who attend the National Girls and Women in Sports Day clinic will receive a free ticket to the game! More information on the clinic will be released later this fall.
The energy peaks in February, beginning with
Saturday, Feb. 21, when JMU faces App State for its annual Play4Kay Game, supporting breast cancer awareness through the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
Fans are encouraged to wear pink, and early arrivals will receive a pink rally a Duke Dog giveaway courtesy of Weiler Orthodontics. This matchup will also serve as the second Duke Dog Reading Program Game, welcoming participating schools for a memorable afternoon at the AUBC.
The rivalry heats up on
Wednesday, Feb. 25, as the Dukes take on Old Dominion in the TowneBank Royal Rivalry game. Fans can take pictures with the Royal Rivalry Trophy on the concourse before tip-off and show their purple pride as JMU defends home court.
Finally, the regular season concludes with Senior Day on
