HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison women's basketball will wrap up its first week of competition with a matchup against Queens on Sunday, Nov. 4. The opening tip is slated for 4 p.m. and will stream on ESPN+.
LAST TIME VS. THE ROYALS
- James Madison received 38 points from its bench to roll past Queens, 89-48, inside the Atlantic Union Bank Center on Nov. 13, 2022.
- JMU made 33-of-63 (.524) from the field, scoring 37 points in the paint while holding the Royals to 16-of-53 (.305), including 1-for-16 (.063) in the third quarter.
JEN BROWN & JMU CONNECTIONS
- At the helm of Queens is Head Coach Jen Brown, who played for the Dukes (2005-08) and spent six seasons as an assistant coach at JMU (2010-16).
- As a player, Brown helped lead the Dukes to a 75-23 (.761) record across her three seasons, highlighted by a trip to the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship as an at-large during the 2006-07 season.
- As a coach, the Dukes had a .797 winning percentage (165-42), including six consecutive 25-plus-win seasons. JMU also won four CAA Regular Season Championships, four CAA Tournament Championships and made four NCAA Championship appearances.
- In addition to Jen Brown ('07), former Duke Toia Giggetts ('15) serves as an assistant coach for the Royals.
- Giggetts helped lead the Dukes to the CAA Tournament titles in 2014 and 2015 and totaled 1,162 career points. Meanwhile, her 137 career games rank sixth in program history.
- The former All-CAA selection played professionally in Switzerland for two years with Lancey Plo (2015-16) and Geneva Elite (2016-17).

HOME SWEET HOME
- The Dukes went 16-2 inside the Atlantic Union Bank Center, marking consecutive seasons with at least a dozen home victories. Additionally, the 16 home wins are the most by the program since the 2018-19 season when James Madison produced an 18-1 record at the Convocation Center.
- JMU is 56-21 (.727) since the Atlantic Union Bank Center opened at the start of the 2020-21 season.
- Moreover, Head Coach Sean O'Regan is 116-31 (.789) when playing in Harrisonburg.

- For Sunday's doubleheader, the Ballard Parking Deck will not clear between games – guests may park and stay or leave and return.

- Reserved parking is located at the North Entrance of the Ballard Parking Deck.
