LOUISVILLE, Ky. - James Madison softball earned 14 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-America Scholar-Athlete selections for the 2024-25 academic year, the organization announced.
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must have posted a grade-point average of 3.50 or better during the academic year. The Dukes earned a combined 3.48 GPA for the year and a 3.529 grade-point average for spring 2025, some of the highest marks in program history.
Out of the 14 Dukes honored, graduate Reed Butler, redshirt junior Isabelle Fishman, senior Lexi Rogers, and sophomore Kirsten Fleet each tallied a perfect 4.0 GPA, while senior Lauren Fulton and junior Carsen Sanders earned the perfect mark for the spring semester.
This marks back-to-back seasons the Dukes have had double-digit honorees, as they had 11 following the 2024 season.
Butler, Kate Carrier, Madison Edwards, Fleet, Bella Henzler, and Sanders have each notched two selections from the NFCA in their careers, as Jasmine Hall, Hannah Hennessy, Rebecca Muh, Lily Romero, and Lili Smith earned their first to round out the recognized group.
