HARRISONBURG, Va. – Former James Madison guards
Mark Freeman and
Bryce Lindsay were named to the 2024-25 Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) Men's Basketball All-State team on Thursday, June 26.

The pair are the first JMU men's basketball players to be named All-State since Matt Lewis was named First Team All-State in 2021. Along with being named Second Team All-State, Lindsay was named the Rookie of the Year.Â

Freeman, a First Team All-Sun Belt selection in his lone season at JMU, averaged 15.8 points and 3.1 assists per game to lead the Dukes in both categories. He scored in double figures 24 times, including nine 20-point games and three games with 30 or more, including a career-high 34 against Troy in the Sun Belt semifinals.

Lindsay, who was also named Sun Belt Freshman and Sixth Man of the Year, averaged 13.4 points and 2.2 assists per game while making 87 three-pointers, a JMU freshman record. His 3-point percentage of 40.8 led the SBC, while the native of Baltimore had 21 games in double figures and four 20-point games.
