CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Three members of the 2024-25 James Madison women's golf team were named Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars, as seniors
Kayleigh Reinke,
Tatum Walsh, and
Lauren Waxer-Gooding were honored by the organization.
To be eligible for the All-American Scholar Team, a student-athlete must maintain a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher and play in at least 50% of the rounds during the academic year. Â
Reinke wrapped up her JMU career by playing in 17 rounds with a stroke average of 78.24. The Salisbury, N.C., native accrued a stroke average of 76.53 in her four seasons, the eighth-lowest in program history. She was named to the Dean's List in both the fall and spring semester along with a JMU Athletic Director's Scholar Athlete.
Walsh played in all 29 rounds for the Dukes in her senior campaign while also earning a spot on the 2025 CSC Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team in June. She compiled a stroke average of 76.69 in 2024-25 and finished second on JMU with 59 birdies.
In her lone season at JMU, Waxer-Gooding competed in 26 rounds with a stroke average of 78.19. She led JMU in par-5 scoring (5.062) and tied for 28th at the Puerto Rico Shootout in February for her best finish of the season. The native of London, England was named a JMU Athletic Director's Scholar Athlete in the spring.
