NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – James Madison lacrosse was honored as a 2025 IWLCA Academic Honor Squad, while eight student-athletes earned spots on the ILWCA Academic Honor Roll, the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association announced Wednesday.
The Dukes posted a 3.44 team grade-point average during the 2024-25 academic year, well ahead of the required 3.2 criteria.
Taking home Academic Honor Roll status were
Maggie Clark,
Savannah Derey,
Josie Pell,
Jordan Peterson,
Courtney Quirk,
Olivia Rongo,
Lauren Savage and
Carolyn Thistlewaite.
In order to be eligible for Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must be at least a junior and hold a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher.
It's the third straight selection for both Clark and Thistlewaite, while Derey took home laurel for the second consecutive year.
The IWLCA honored a total of 1,163 Division I student-athletes on the Academic Honor Roll and 383 institutions across all collegiate divisions on the Academic Honor Squad.
