HARRISONBURG, Va. - Head Coach Loren LaPorte announced the newest member of the James Madison softball program on Tuesday afternoon by signing Kendra Lewis to an aid agreement for the 2026 season.
Lewis will join the Dukes with two years of eligibility after starting her career at Morehead State out of the Ohio Valley Conference. A two-year starter around the infield, the Ankeny, Iowa product is coming off a Second Team All-OVC honor following a year leading the Eagles in multiple offensive categories along with top-10 conference marks.
"We are excited to welcome Kendra Lewis to the program," said LaPorte. "She is a very athletic utility infielder who also carries a big bat. She is a dual-threat lefty hitter who has power and speed. With her competitive edge and work ethic, we know Kendra is going to have an immediate impact to the program."
