HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison hit a season-high .375, cruising past Delaware State 25-20, 25-6, 25-23 in non-conference volleyball on Saturday night inside the Convocation Center.

JMU improved to 6-5 and claimed its third straight win. Delaware State fell to 4-9 after also falling to William & Mary earlier Saturday.

Kennedy Louisell led the Dukes with 14 kills, also tallying six digs and a pair of blocks. Freshman
Ana Toumazatos hit .450 with 13 kills, and
Addie Norman and
Ayen Nhial added four kills each.

Defensively, middle blocker
Anna Wilson led the Dukes with five blocks, while
Sydney Lewis recorded eight digs.

Gerren Tomlin led Delaware State in kills (11) and digs (6) but hit just .069. Ailena Mykins led the Hornets with 14 assists.

How It Happened
First Set: James Madison 25-20
- JMU held a slim 15-13 lead at the first media timeout.
- The Dukes kept the Hornets at bay and pushed ahead by three (21-18) as Delaware State burned another timeout.
- After an Aaliyah Mitchell kill cut the JMU lead to 21-19, the Dukes scored four of the last five to take the first. A kill from Toumazatos sealed the win.

Second Set: James Madison 25-6
- JMU scored the first five points of the set and grew the lead to 11-1 on an Anna Wilson kill.
- The Dukes dominated the set the rest of the way, allowing just six points in the set and outhitting the Hornets .667 to -.053.

Third Set: James Madison 25-23
- The third set started with trading points, but the visitors pulled ahead 15-13 at the media timeout.
- JMU, down 20-17, scored four straight to go ahead 21-20. The Hornets responded with two in a row to edge ahead 22-21.
- DSU gained a 23-22 lead on a kill from Myracle Davis, but the Dukes rallied with a 3-0 run to close out the set and match.

Match Notes
- Delaware State's six points in the second set is the second lowest the Dukes have allowed since Lauren Steinbrecher took over as head coach in 2010. JMU allowed four in the second set to Norfolk State on Sept. 17, 2015.
- JMU is now 4-0 against Delaware State.
- The Dukes have now hit over .300 in six matches this season and are attacking at a .281 clip through 11 matches.
- Jordan Smart had a season-high 16 assists.
