Greenberg Picked for Lombardi Award Midseason Watch List

HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison offensive lineman Zach Greenberg has been named to The Lombardi Award™ Midseason Watch List, the Rotary Club of Houston announced on Wednesday.

Greenberg is one of 60 players to be picked for the list, which spotlights the nation's top linemen and linebackers from across all FBS conferences and independents. He is one of two Sun Belt players featured, along with Troy's Donnie Smith.

Greenberg has started five of JMU's six games at center this season. The Livingston, New Jersey, native headlines an offensive line that has led the way for the Dukes to average 41.8 points per game (No. 10 nationally).

JMU's offense also is No. 21 in the nation in the red zone (.938), No. 23 in rushing (219.3) and No. 33 in total yards (452.0).

Earlier this year, Greenberg, who has appeared in 50 career games at three schools with 19 starts at JMU, was named a Preseason All-Sun Belt First Team and HERO G6 Preseason All-American Second Team selection and appeared on the Outland Trophy Watch List. Additionally, he was named a semifinalist for the William V. Campbell Trophy last month.

The Lombardi Award™ will once again be awarded at a ceremony in Houston, Texas, on December 9, 2026. Celebrating its 53rd anniversary, the Lombardi Award™ has been presented in Houston since its establishment in 1970.
