KANSAS CITY –  The latest United Soccer Coaches' Poll was released Tuesday afternoon as James Madison men's soccer was slotted in the receiving votes category, garnering five points on the ballot.Â
It's the Dukes first time receiving votes in the poll since Oct. 8, 2024 when JMU was slotted eighth. JMU's placement on the ballot comes a few days removed from the Dukes' 5-0 triumph over Georgia Southern on the road.Â
Over the last month, the Dukes have been one of the hottest teams in the Sun Belt, going 4-0-1 in league play which ranks first in the conference with 13 points. Since Sept. 11, JMU is on an eight-game unbeaten streak, taking down several receiving votes' teams and finishing level with No. 1 South Carolina in that span.Â
On a national scale, JMU has made a sizable leap as the year as gone on, starting at #135 when the NCAA RPI rankings first released and jumping up over 100 spots to the #34 spot in the latest rankings.Â
James Madison is back on the pitch Wednesday at 7:15 p.m. as the Dukes visit Marshall for a critical midweek clash in Sun Belt play.
