HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison's Homecoming matchup against Georgia State will kick off at noon ET, on Saturday, Oct. 17, at Bridgeforth Stadium and be aired live on ESPNU, the Sun Belt Conference announced on Monday.
Â
The Dukes are 5-0 all time against the Panthers, including 3-0 at home. Last season, JMU earned a 14-7 victory over Georgia State on Oct. 4, 2025, in Atlanta.
Â
A limited amount of tickets for the game are still available and fans are asked to Wear Purple for the conference clash. Tickets are available at JMUTickets.com.
Â
In anticipation for a larger Homecoming crowd, tailgating lots will open at 7 a.m., on game day. This decision was made in the interest of fans having a longer time to tailgate and celebrate with alumni coming home and to also emphasize fans entering the stadium in time for kickoff.
Â
Notably, this does not set a precedent for future games, but JMU Athletics acknowledges the specific circumstances experienced this season.Â
Â
The game marks the fifth time JMU will play on linear television this season, including the fourth on ESPNU.Â
Â
The game is sponsored by Augusta Health and the 2026 football season is presented by CarMax.
