DANBURY, Conn. – James Madison guard
Peyton McDaniel was named to the Women's Basketball All-ECAC First Team, as announced by the Eastern College Athletic Conference on Wednesday morning.

McDaniel earned All-ECAC honors for the second time in her career after being honored with Second Team laurels for the 2024-25 season.

The Birdsboro, Pa. native concluded the 2025-26 season second in the Sun Belt Conference in scoring (18.8) and seventh in rebounding (7.5) to earn All-Sun Belt First Team status. At the national level, McDaniel ranks 20th in points (657) and tied for 27th in field goals (236). The redshirt senior helped guide the Dukes to their second conference tournament title in four seasons, and was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Player for her efforts.

Maine's Adrianna Smith was voted Player of the Year, while Francesca Schiro from Siena was named Rookie of the Year, and Stephanie Gaitley of Farleigh Dickinson won Coach of the Year.
