JMU Athletics Announces 2026 Softball Promotional Calendar

HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison Athletics announced its full promotional schedule for the 2026 softball season, presented by Lakeside Book Company.

The Dukes return to Bank of the James Field at Veterans Memorial Park (VMP) in their fourth season as a member of the Sun Belt Conference.

After finishing the Lakeside Book Company Invitational with two straight victories, the Dukes host a premier out-of-conference home slate before conference play begins.

Stop by the marketing table as the Dukes take on Michigan and Liberty and before a match up against in-state foe Virginia on St. Patrick's Day. Arrive early on March 4 and 10 for a JMU eye black giveaway, and support the Dukes on March 17 to claim a green JMU Softball St. Patty's Day button! Limited schedule magnets are also available for fans.

Conference play at home starts on March 20 as the Dukes host Coastal Carolina for Throwback Weekend, as we celebrate the '80s, '90s and 2000's all weekend long! Saturday marks Community Day, presented by UVA Community Credit Union.

Heroes Weekend and the South Alabama Jaguars await the Dukes beginning March 27. Celebrate our Most Valuable Professors at the Faculty & Staff Appreciation Game on Friday, presented by CommonWealth One Credit Union. It's a Siren Saturday, honoring our first responders, and Salute to Service Sunday to applaud service members on Vietnam Veterans Day.

JMU hosts the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns for a Sun Belt series beginning on April 10. The Dukes have a fun weekend planned for kids and softball campers, as fans can grab a special Duke Dog Pocketful of Sunshine shirt on Friday, get temporary tattoos at our Ink'd Game on Saturday, and walk away with an exclusive JMU Softball hair accessory on Sunday, our Youth Sports Day, presented by Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative.

The final home series of the season features Georgia State visiting Eagle Field at Veterans Memorial Park for Alumni Weekend and Senior Day! Grab your 2026 team trading cards at the marketing table all weekend long, and arrive early on Sunday, April 26 for a pregame Senior Day ceremony.

Throughout the season, JMU Softball will be hosting exclusive experiences for kids. Join us on Saturday, March 21, 28, April 11 and 18 for post game autographs, and kids are welcome to run the bases post game on Sunday, March 22, 29, and April 12. Additional experiences are available via reservation at JMUSports.com/SBexp. Please note that submitting interest does not guarantee reservation, and a JMU Athletics staff member will reach out via the email provided to confirm availability.

All JMU softball games at Veterans Memorial Park are free admission.

Fans looking to make purchases at any JMU Athletics events will need to have a debit or credit card accessible. Concessions and Team Stores will accept all versions of mobile pay (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay). Reverse ATM's will not be offered at any venues, fans are encouraged to make sure they have a debit or credit card available prior to entry.
