James Madison lacrosse defender Olivia Rongo has been named an Inside Lacrosse Midseason All-American, the organization announced on Wednesday afternoon. The senior was named an honorable mention.
Rongo has taken up a large role on the Dukes' defense in 2026, leading the team in caused turnovers (37) and ground balls (35). Rongo leads the American Conference in caused turnovers per game (3.08) and ranks second in ground balls per game (2.92), figures that rank eighth and 11th in the NCAA, respectively.
The Westhampton, N.Y. native has earned American Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors twice this season, with her most recent recognition coming last week after wins over No.19 Virginia and Temple, in which she forced a combined six turnovers and gathered five ground balls.
JMU returns to action on Saturday, April 4, for an American Conference contest at Charlotte. First draw is scheduled for 5 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.
