GREENWOOD, Ind. – Six James Madison student-athletes across three women's programs were named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Women's At-Large Team in field hockey's
Madelief Molier, women's golf's
Grace Petzold and lacrosse's
Josie Pell,
Jordan Peterson,
Olivia Rongo and
Lauren Savage.
This is the first such honor for all six student-athletes. Additionally, following her inclusion as an All-American during the spring, Rongo has been elevated to the national ballot for the Academic All-America® program.
Molier, a sophomore health sciences major, was a 2025 NFHCA All-South Region First Team honoree and First Team All-Mid-American Conference selection. A native of Rotterdam, The Netherlands, she started 16 games, leading the team in goals (14) and points (31), which ranked fourth and seventh, respectively, in the MAC. She was also once named the national offensive player of the week after scoring a hat trick to defeat #8 Michigan in Ann Arbor.
Petzold, a junior psychology major, transferred to JMU from St. Catherine University and immediately made an impact in the lineup. She played in 30 rounds for the Dukes, averaging 74.63 per round, which was the second-lowest scoring average on the team. The Plymouth, Minn., native set a career-low, 54-hole score at the Elon Invitational, finishing at 214 (+1). That weekend also highlighted her best individual finish at a tie for seventh. She secured five top-25 finishes on the year.
Pell, a senior sport and recreation management major, was recognized as a Second Team All-American Conference honoree in 2026. Starting all 21 games in the midfield, Pell scored nine goals on 15 shots (.600) while adding a pair of assists for 11 points. The Catonsville, Md., native also caused four turnovers with 27 ground balls.
Peterson, a senior finance major, earned a spot on the American Conference Championship All-Tournament Team after helping lead JMU to its second straight conference tournament crown. Starting all 21 games at attack, the Sparks, Md., native led JMU in goals (44), hat tricks (7) and free-position scores (9). She scored a career-high five goals and added an assist for a career-best six goals against Charlotte.
Rongo, a senior psychology major, was one of the nation's leading defenders, as she was named Third Team All-American by both USA Lacrosse Magazine and ILWomen. A native of Westhampton, N.Y., Rongo was an IWLCA First Team All-Region and American Conference Defensive Player of the Year after leading JMU in both caused turnovers (59) and ground balls (56). In her 21 starts, she broke the program's single-season caused turnovers record. She ranked ninth nationally in caused turnovers per game (2.81) and 23rd in ground balls (2.67).
Savage, a senior health sciences major, played in all 21 games with 12 starts in the midfield. The Catonsville, Md., native recorded 19 goals on 37 shots (.514) while picking up eight ground balls and three caused turnovers. She notched a career-high four goals against Liberty.
In order to be eligible for the CSC Academic All-District At-Large Team, student-athletes must possess at least a 3.5 cumulative grade-point average, be a sophomore or older and have competed in a specific percentage of events during their respective seasons.
