HARRISONBURG, Va. -- James Madison softball has released the 2026 fall schedule with eight exhibition games against regional opponents making up the slate, Head Coach
Loren LaPorte announced on Friday afternoon. Of the eight matchups, five will be played in Harrisonburg while the other three will be played on the road.Â
The Dukes get fall ball started on Sep. 20 when they host Davis & Elkins College at Veterans Memorial Park.
Following the fall opener, JMU will travel down I-81 to face Radford on Sep. 26. The following day, the Dukes will host a doubleheader in Harrisonburg, taking on Bridgewater and Mary Baldwin.Â
As the calendar flips to October, James Madison travels to Fairfax, Va. to take on George Mason on Oct. 4.
After a multi-week layoff, JMU will finish out the fall docket by alternating home and away contests, hosting Longwood on Oct. 18 before going to Charlottesville to face Virginia on Oct. 24 and round out fall ball with one last exhibition against Liberty on Oct. 25 in Harrisonburg.Â
