NEWARK, Del., Jan. 14, 2009 -- James Madison won for the seventh time in its last eight games as the Dukes posted a 70-53 win at Delaware in Colonial Athletic Association women's basketball Wednesday evening at the Bob Carpenter Center.
The Dukes improved to 10-5 overall and 3-1 in league play. Delaware dropped to 8-7 overall and 0-4 in the CAA.
JMU sophomore center Lauren Jimenez (North Bergen, N.J./North Bergen) led all players with 20 points, matching her career high, and pulled down nine rebounds, one below her career high.
Also in double figures for the Dukes were sophomore guard Dawn Evans (Clarksville, Tenn./Northeast) with 19 points and sophomore guard Courtney Hamner (Manassas, Va./Osbourn Park) with 11.
