CHRISTIANSBURG, Va., March 11, 2014 – Redshirt freshman diver Taryn McLaughlin (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) finished 16th on the three-meter board in the NCAA Zone A Championships to highlight the day's action for the James Madison Diving Team at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center, Tuesday.
JMU placed three divers in the top 37 of the meet with freshman Olivia Lehman (Dayton, Ohio/Centreville) claiming 25th and sophomore Carly Alexander (Plantation, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas) finishing 37th.
McLaughlin scored 254.65 points in the preliminaries Tuesday afternoon to head into the evening session in 15th-place. The top 18 divers advanced to the finals where McLaughlin scored 518.65 points, finishing in 16th.
Lehman scored 230.25 points in the prelims while Alexander posted 204.70 points.
This is the final action of the 2013-14 season for the diving team while senior Shannon Dubay (South Windsor, Conn./South Windsor) concludes the swimming schedule March 20-22 at the NCAA Championships in Minneapolis, Minn.
