Game Plan
- Following its biggest win of the year Thursday night, JMU looks to extend its seven-game winning streak on Sunday afternoon in a 2 p.m. game against College of Charleston.
- Live audio for the contest will be available through the nTelos Wireless Network on WHBG 1360 AM locally in Harrisonburg, Va., as well as online at JMUSports.com/Madizone.
Scouting Report
- The Dukes enter the contest as the only team undefeated in Colonial Athletic Association play at 7-0. JMU overall holds a mark of 16-2. Sunday's game against Charleston is the third meeting all-time with the Cougars. The two sides split the previous two matchups in 2014, each winning in its home arena.
- On Thursday night, the Dukes handed William & Mary their eighth loss in nine games with a 92-50 win at the JMU Convocation Center. Madison scored 49 points in the first half, marking the second-largest point total in a single half this season. Only the 52-point frame on Nov. 16 against St. Bonaventure beat the total. The 42-point victory is the largest margin of victory for JMU this season.
- Against the Tribe, junior guard Precious Hall scored 25 points while redshirt-senior center Lauren Okafor scored 18 points. Junior guard Ashley Perez chipped in 16 points in the winning effort and junior guard Jazmon Gwathmey rounded out the double-figure scoring with 12 points. Sophomore forward Da'Lishia Griffin made the most of her playing time in pulling down a career-high 16 rebounds.
- In conference play, JMU is averaging 72.7 points per game while only giving up 53.3 points per contest. The two figures add up to a winning margin of 19.4 points.
- Charleston enters Sunday's contest having lost three of its last four games. The lone win in the last five games came in a 59-39 win at home over Northeastern. Charleston's other CAA win this season came in a 55-49 win at home over Delaware.
- The Cougars are led by Breanna Bolden, who is averaging 11.8 points per contest. Erin Hall is the only other Charleston player who is averaging scoring in double figures, chipping in 10.3 points per game.
- College of Charleston sits last in three-point field goals made in the conference, making just 3.1 shots from range this season. JMU is coming off a game in which it nailed 12 three-point field goals. The mark tied a school record, which had previously been hit three times.
