- JMU hits the road for the first time since Dec. 17 after winning three straight home games.
- Senior guard Jackson Kent has the hot hand for the Dukes, scoring a career-high 30 points in the win over Drexel on Dec. 31 and 23 against Towson on Jan. 2. He made 18 of his 27 shots over the two games, a field goal percentage of 66.7 percent.
- The Dukes put in a solid defensive performance on Monday, holding the Tigers to just 32 percent shooting from the floor and 16.7 percent shooting from three-point range. Towson's 44 points were the fewest opponent points since Jan. 15, 2015 when JMU beat Drexel 54-35.
- JMU has improved its season team field-goal percentage to 44.0 after shooting above 40 percent the last four games, including 54.2 against Eastern Mennonite and 55.6 against Drexel.
- The Dukes' big men have been moving the ball well during the win streak. Senior forward Tom Vodanovich has 11 assists over the last four games, while senior forward Paulius Satkus has eight.
- Hofstra's two previous Colonial Athletic Association games were close affairs. The Pride beat Delaware 58-56 on Dec. 31 and lost to William & Mary 95-93 in overtime on a buzzer-beating three-pointer.
- Junior forward/center Rokas Gustys was a First Team Preseason All-CAA selection and leads the conference with 13.2 rebounds per game.
- Sophomore guard Justin Wright-Foreman is averaging 22.5 points per game over the past two conference games.
- Hofstra holds a 15-11 advantage in the all-time series, including 7-5 in Hempstead, N.Y.
- The Dukes swept the Pride last season, winning both games in overtime.
