#15 JMU Battles Back for 2-1 Win at #19 William & Mary

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – With just 3:01 left in regulation, sophomore Lisa Lejeune flipped the ball over the shoulder of the Tribe goalkeeper and sealed a comeback victory for No. 15 James Madison field hockey (11-5, 4-1 CAA) at No. 19 William & Mary (12-6, 4-2 CAA) on Friday night in Colonial Athletic Association action.

After trailing by one thanks to a fifth-minute score by the Tribe, the Dukes tied the game at 1-all off a long shot by senior Hannah Hall in the 47th minute of action.

The victory clinched the No. 2 seed for the Dukes in next weekend's CAA Championship Tournament, hosted in Newark, Del.
HOW WE GOT HERE
TRAILING AT THE HALF
This marked the second time this season the Dukes were able to secure a victory after trailing at the half (2-3). The first time came against then-No. 23 Old Dominion in a shootout on Aug. 30.

LEJEUNE STRETCH
Lisa Lejeune has scored in each of the last four games, the longest stretch of her career. This marks the fifth stretch of three games or more with a goal amongst all Dukes, including a season-best five by senior Melanie Kusakavitch.

CAA LANDSCAPE
With Friday's results, Delaware has clinched the top seed for the 2017 CAA Championship as well as the right to host. JMU has claimed the second seed with William & Mary claiming the third seed and Northeastern clinching a spot as the fourth seed.

- William & Mary got the first tally of the day, scoring just 4:11 into play off a rebound.
- Senior Hannah Hall tied the game at 1-all at the 46:04 mark, driving up the field and shooting from high in the circle into the far corner.
- Sophomore Lisa Lejeune broke the stalemate with just over three minutes left in regulation, grabbing the ball in the middle and flipping it over the Tribe goalkeeper's shoulder.
