HARRISONBURG, Va. - Boston College converted a penalty kick in the seventh minute of the first overtime period to complete a second-half comeback and hand James Madison a 4-3 loss in non-conference women's soccer action at Sentara Park on Friday night. The contest marked both teams' season opener.

Sophie Brause, Hendrie beat the goalkeeper to the near post and nodded the opening goal in from mere feet away from the post.

Carmen Thomas lofted a perfect chip over the BC defense to send the sophomore off to the races and allow her to calmly finish from about 12 yards out.
72' | Lazzaro put the Dukes up 3-1 with a stunner, lofting in a free kick from nearly 60 yards that bounced in the center of the box and floated over the goalkeeper's outstretched arms into the goal.

62' | Olivia Vaughn cut BC's deficit to 2-1 when Kayla Jennings headed a corner back across frame at the hour mark, allowing Vaughn to bury the shot from just six yards out.
85' | Jenna Bike cut the the Dukes' lead to one again, running on to a perfect through ball from Allyson Swaby and burying a contested shot to make it 3-2.
90' | Vaughn tallied her second of the night when a deflection fell to her in stride in the attacking third, putting her in on goal to equalize with just 43 seconds to play.
97' | After an unfortunate bounce drew a handball in the box, Lauren Berman snuck a penalty kick just inside the right post to give the Eagles the 4-3 victory.
