NEWARK, Del. – James Madison field hockey's season came to an end in the CAA Semifinal game after falling 8-1 to the regular-season champions Delaware. This marked the second straight year the Dukes were knocked out of the tournament in the semifinals.

JMU (6-12) came out of the gates quick in hopes of scoring early to hold off the Blue Hens. However, after the Dukes first goal, the Blue Hens (13-6) came back and was able to capitalize off of their corners. The Dukes were outshot 18-7 and Delaware held the advantage in corners 7-4.
