James Madison will play host to first-place Hofstra in a tough Colonial Athletic Association matchup on Thursday, Jan. 24. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. in the Convocation Center.
The Dukes fell short to Drexel on Saturday afternoon, dropping a 73-68 decision in Philadelphia. Two Dukes scored over 20 points in the contest as senior Stuckey Mosley finished with 25 points while Matt Lewis added another 21.
Mosley leads all Dukes in scoring, averaging 16.5 points per game, and is third on the team in assists with 50, while Lewis is just behind with 15.9 points per contest.
The Dukes enter Thursday's matchup with a 6-2 record at home this season. Both losses in Harrisonburg came in overtime.
Hofstra leads the all-time series against the Dukes, 18-12, and the Pride have won the last three meetings against the Dukes, including the previous two in Harrisonburg.
The Pride has the longest active win streak in the nation as Hofstra has won 14 consecutive games. The Pride are the only team in the CAA with an unblemished record during league action.
Hofstra is coming off an 86-72 win over Charleston on Saturday night. Junior Eli Pemberton led the Pride in scoring with a season-high 26 points while senior Justin Wright-Foreman added 19 points. Graduate student Jacquil Taylor tacked on 16 points while sophomore Jalen Ray tallied 14.
