James Madison plays host to the College of Charleston for a Saturday afternoon Colonial Athletic Association matchup. Tipoff is set for 4 p.m. in the Convocation Center.
The Dukes are coming off a double-overtime loss to UNCW on Thursday night, falling 86-83 after the Seahawks scored the final seven points of the game. Sophomore Matt Lewis led the Dukes with 22 points while redshirt senior Stuckey Mosley added 21 and sophomore Darius Banks tallied 20, marking the first time JMU has had three players score over 20 points in a contest since the 105-99 2OT victory over Appalachian State on Nov. 22, 2017.
Lewis and Mosley each played all 50 minutes, career highs for both, in Thursday night's game, while freshman Deshon Parker was on the court for a career-high 39.
The Cougars hold the lead in the all-time series, 7-4, and have won the last five contests between the two programs. JMU is 2-3 when playing Charleston at home.
Charleston sits atop the CAA standings after defeating Towson, 67-55, on Thursday night. In the victory, junior Grant Riller scored a game-high 24 points with five rebounds and five assists, while senior Jarrell Brantley added 23 points and seven boards.
The Cougars have won 10 straight contests since falling to No. 19 LSU, 67-55, on Nov. 22 in the Advocare Invitational.
Riller and Brantley lead the Cougars' offense, averaging 22.9 and 20.3 points per game, respectively.
