Jubas Selected to CoSIDA's Google Cloud Academic All-District Team

HARRISONBURG, Va. – College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) has selected sophomore Sara Jubas of No. 16 James Madison softball to the 2019 Google Cloud Academic All-District Softball Team.Â

Having a dominant sophomore season, Jubas was named to the First Team for the third district which includes the states of North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Jubas, who is majoring in biology with a 3.98 GPA, was one of only two student-athletes selected from a Virginia school.Â

CoSIDA recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Student-athletes are divided into eight geographic districts across the United State and Canada.

In her sophomore campaign, Jubas is third on the team with a .422 batting average in 135 at-bats with 57 hits, 15 doubles, 12 home runs and a team-high 57 RBI. Her slugging percentage is .800 while her on base percentage is at .521. At shortstop, Jubas has tallied 61 putouts and 64 assists. The Pennsylvania native was recently selected to the Colonial Athletic Association's All-CAA Second Team while earning a spot on the All-Tournament for a stellar performance in the CAA Championship.
