COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The James Madison field hockey team fell to No. 8 Maryland 0-3 on Sunday at the Maryland Field Hockey and Lacrosse Field.

The Dukes fell to 7-5 for the season while the Terps improved to 9-4 in the season.

JMU was held to three shots, one taken by
Diede Remijnse and the other two shot by
Caroline Cahill, but all were unable to find the back of the net.

Goalie
Florien Marcussen faced a season high 20 shots and made a season high 13 saves, seven of which occurred in the first quarter.Â
Brandelynn Heinbaugh defended the net in the fourth quarter, gaining one save and keeping Maryland scoreless in the fourth.

Maryland earned 12 penalty corners while JMU was only able to draw three.Â
