The James Madison Dukes (3-5) are back in the Atlantic Union Bank Center as they take on the Villanova Wildcats (3-5) Thursday, Dec. 9 at 7 p.m.
The Dukes return home following three games on the road that ended with a 93-47 loss at North Carolina on Sunday, Dec. 5.
JMU is currently on a three-game losing streak. However, the Dukes are 3-1 when playing at home so far this season.
In the loss to UNC,Jamia Hazell led the Dukes with a career-best 20 points while Jaylin Carodine finished shy of a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.
Kiki Jeffersonleads the Dukes with a 18.1 points per game and is eighth in the nation in free throws made (45).
Carodine is the top rebounder for JMU, averaging 7.6 per game.
 SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Villanova arrives in Harrisonburg with a 3-5 record on the year.
The Wildcats are currently on a two-game losing streak. They most recently fell to Big East foe Creighton, 72-58, on Dec. 5 in Omaha, Nebraska.
Zanai Jones paced Villanova in the loss with 13 points and five rebounds. Both Lior Garzon and Brooke Mullin added 11 points.
Garzon is Villanova's top scorer, averaging 14.6 points per outing. Brianna Herlihy adds 11.6 points and 7.3 rebounds for the Wildcats.
Junior forward Maddy Siegrist was named to the prestigious Wade Trophy Watch List prior to the start of the season. She was also named to the Katrina McClain Watch List, an award in which she was one of the five finalists at the conclusion of the 2020-21 season.
Siegrist has not played for the Wildcats since their Nov. 12 loss to #4 Maryland. In the lone two games she has played in, Siegrist averaged 10.5 points and 7.5 rebounds.

Villanova leads in the all-time series against the Dukes, 2-1.
In the last matchup between the two teams, JMU won a close 56-52 game on Nov. 9, 2019 at Villanova.
All games between the Dukes and the Wildcats have had a four-point or less win margin, with Villanova winning 60-57 on Nov. 24, 2017 and 69-67 on Mar. 23, 2017.
