THE DUKES
- The James Madison Dukes head to Delaware on Tuesday, Jan. 18 for the second game of a four-game road stretch. The Dukes and the Blue Hens are set to tip-off at 6 p.m.
- JMU is coming off a 79-70 loss to Towson on Sunday, Jan. 16
- Kiki Jefferson led JMU with 19 points and 10 rebounds for her third double-double of the season.
- Jaylin Carodine recorded her second double-double of her career with 10 points and 15 rebounds.
- Jefferson leads the Dukes and ranks second in the conference in scoring with 18.0 points per game. The junior guard adds seven boards per night.
- Jefferson has made 82 foul shots so far this season to lead the conference and rank ninth in the nation in made free throws.
- Carodine is JMU's top rebounder and ranks second in the conference with 9.8 boards per game. The Bowie, Md. native has pulled a career-best 15 rebounds in four separate games.
SCOUTING THE BLUE HENS
- The Blue Hens welcome the Dukes to Newark following a 79-60 win over Northeastern on Sunday, Jan. 16 at home to improve their record to 9-4 (3-0 CAA).
- Jasmine Dickey registered a double-double of a game-high 31 points and 10 rebounds.
- Ty Battle also recorded a double-double with her 15-point 19-rebound performance.
- Dickey leads Delaware and ranks second in the nation with her scoring average of 24.7.
- Battle is currently averaging a double-double of 13.0 points and 10.7 rebounds.
SERIES HISTORY
- Delaware holds a slight 11-10 edge in the all-time series against the Dukes.
- JMU won the last battle against the Blue Hens on Feb. 21, 2021 in Harrisonburg, 65-62.
- The first meeting between the two programs came on Nov. 19, 1997 in Harrisonburg with the Dukes winning 56-51.
