The James Madison Dukes head to Delaware on Tuesday, Jan. 18 for the second game of a four-game road stretch. The Dukes and the Blue Hens are set to tip-off at 6 p.m.
JMU is coming off a 79-70 loss to Towson on Sunday, Jan. 16
Kiki Jefferson led JMU with 19 points and 10 rebounds for her third double-double of the season.
Jaylin Carodine recorded her second double-double of her career with 10 points and 15 rebounds.
Jefferson leads the Dukes and ranks second in the conference in scoring with 18.0 points per game. The junior guard adds seven boards per night.
Jefferson has made 82 foul shots so far this season to lead the conference and rank ninth in the nation in made free throws.
Carodine is JMU's top rebounder and ranks second in the conference with 9.8 boards per game. The Bowie, Md. native has pulled a career-best 15 rebounds in four separate games.
SCOUTING THE BLUE HENS
The Blue Hens welcome the Dukes to Newark following a 79-60 win over Northeastern on Sunday, Jan. 16 at home to improve their record to 9-4 (3-0 CAA).
Jasmine Dickey registered a double-double of a game-high 31 points and 10 rebounds.
Ty Battle also recorded a double-double with her 15-point 19-rebound performance.
Dickey leads Delaware and ranks second in the nation with her scoring average of 24.7.
Battle is currently averaging a double-double of 13.0 points and 10.7 rebounds.
SERIES HISTORY
Delaware holds a slight 11-10 edge in the all-time series against the Dukes.
JMU won the last battle against the Blue Hens on Feb. 21, 2021 in Harrisonburg, 65-62.
The first meeting between the two programs came on Nov. 19, 1997 in Harrisonburg with the Dukes winning 56-51.
