The James Madison Dukes return to the Atlantic Union Bank Center for the first time in 19 days as they host Hofstra on Friday, Jan. 27 for a 7 p.m. tip-off.
The Dukes are coming off of back-to-back wins at UNCW (57-56) and College of Charleston (64-55).
In the win over Charleston, Jaylin Carodine recorded a double-double with career-bests of 17 points and 16 rebounds.
Carodine leads the Dukes on the boards, averaging 10.5 rebounds per game. She also ranks second in the conference with her rebounding efforts.
The Dukes shot 94.4% (17-18) from the foul line in the win over the Cougars to register their best free throw percentage so far this season.
Jefferson is JMU's top scorer as she averages 18.4 points per game. The junior guard adds 7.2 rebounds per outing.
JMU sits atop the conference in defensive rebounds, averaging 29.0 per night.
SCOUTING THE PRIDE
Hofstra arrives in Harrisonburg with a record of 3-10 (0-5 CAA).
The Pride have not won a game since Nov. 26 when they topped Kennesaw State 72-57 in Kennesaw, Ga.
In their last contest, Hofstra fell to Elon 62-58 at home.
Jaylen Hines led he Pride with a team-high 19 points and seven rebounds.
Hines averages 11.8 points per game to rank second for the Pride. Hofstra's top scorer is JaKayla Brown with 13.0 points per outing, though Brown has not played since Dec. 11 against Ole Miss.
Hines is also the top rebounder for the Pride, pulling down 6.8 boards per night.
Hofstra is currently third in the conference with 8.9 steals per game.

JMU leads 27-10 in the all-time series against the Pride.
In their last meeting, the Dukes won 89-52 in Hempstead, N.Y. on Feb. 23, 2020.
The two teams were scheduled to play each other in the 2020-21 season, but due to COVID-19 protocols, they were unable to compete as planned.
