NORFOLK, Va. –
Kendall Turner notched her 15th career top-10 finish as James Madison women's golf tied for eighth at the Evie Odom Invitational Sunday.
In a field of 84, Turner's tie for seventh came after she tied her career-low round of four-under 66 in Sunday's final round. Her three-round score of one-over 211 (75-70-66) earned the redshirt senior her fourth straight top-15 finish to open the 2023 fall season.
As a team, the Dukes finished tied for eighth of 15 teams at the Princess Anne Country Club and its par-70, 5,824-yard layout in Virginia Beach with a team score of 875 (291-291-293).
Kayleigh Reinke tied her career-low 54-hole score (219, +9) which resulted in a tie for 28th. The junior secured rounds of 70-74-75.
After she carded a first-round 78 (+8),
Amelia Williams posted rounds of 71 (+1) and 74 (+4) and finished tied for 45th.
Tatum Walsh and
Julia Zigrossi rounded out the JMU contingent in Norfolk. Walsh (74-76-77) finished tied for 63rd while Zigrossi (77-73-79) managed a tie for 69th.
