CONWAY, S.C. – James Madison volleyball pushed its winning streak to seven, dominating Coastal Carolina 25-22, 25-16, 25-19 on Saturday afternoon at the HTC Center.

JMU improved to 14-6 and 7-1 in Sun Belt play and is now tied with Georgia Southern for first place in the Sun Belt East Division. Meanwhile, Coastal Carolina's loss dropped it to 14-6 and 6-2 in SBC play.

Kennedy Louisell led the JMU attack with 10 kills, with freshmen
Addie Norman (9) and
Ana Toumazatos (8) chipping in offensively. Â The Dukes hit .316, with setter
Grace Wenrich leading the way with 19 assists. Defensively,
Julia McNeley totaled 15 digs to eclipse 1,000 for her career, while
Ayen Nhial had five blocks.

Emily Fowler led CCU with nine kills as the Chanticleers were held to a .168 hitting percentage for the match.

How It Happened
First Set: James Madison 25-22
- JMU jumped ahead 11-4 on a CCU error and held a 15-12 lead at the media timeout.
- Coastal Carolina trimmed the Dukes' lead to one (17-16) on a JMU error, but could not tie or take the lead.
- JMU led 23-22 before a kill from Melisa Ilter and an ace from Julia McNeley gave the Dukes a win in the first.

Second Set: James Madison 25-16
- A kill from Ilter put the Dukes ahead 8-3 in the second. Coastal trimmed the lead to two (15-13), but a 5-1 run from JMU forced a Chenticleer timeout with the score 20-14.
- The Dukes pulled away from there as a kill from Norman clinched the second set.

Third Set: James Madison 25-19
- A block from Coastal Carolina's Kibi Huggins and Emily Fowler knotted the score at 11-11, but JMU rattled off five straight to take a 16-11 lead.
- A kill from Toumazatos put JMU in front 21-13 as the home team called another timeout. The Dukes cruised from there, securing their seventh straight win on a kill from Louisell.

- JMU won its fourth straight match against CCU, improving to 8-4 against the Chanticleers.
- McNeley's 15 digs brought her weekend total to 42 (6.00 per set). She now has 1,012 in her career.
- The Dukes have now hit over .300 in four consecutive matches and 11 times this season. In 2025, JMU is hitting .275 as a team.
