James Madison Athletics Announces its Full Promotional Calendar for 2026 Volleyball Season

HARRISONBURG, Va. – James Madison Athletics announced its full promotional schedule for the 2026 volleyball season, presented by LD&B Insurance. The Dukes will host 13 regular-season matches in the Convocation Center in their fifth season as a member of the Sun Belt Conference.Â
The promotional schedule starts on Aug. 28-29, as JMU hosts Loyola Maryland. Fans, arrive early to receive a free JMU Volleyball schedule magnet and the new 2026 team poster while supplies last. The Dukes are encouraging all freshman students to attend Friday's match, as the FROG (First Year Orientation Guide) group that has the highest percentage of students in attendance will win a pizza party! Saturday's match will welcome back JMU Volleyball campers from this past summer for a special reunion!Â
Fans, mark your calendars for the LD&B Insurance Invitational, which will take place Sept. 18-20 and feature UNC Greensboro, Delaware State, and George Mason. Calling all Girl Scouts, Saturday's match against Delaware State will be the first-ever JMU Volleyball Girl Scout Match! Girl Scouts in attendance can go home with a JMU Volleyball Girl Scout Patch, while supplies last!Â
All our heroes are strongly encouraged to attend Serve Our Heroes Night on Sept. 25 against South Alabama. The match will feature a ceremonial first serve by Harrisonburg Fire Department Fire Chief Matthew Tobia in honor of his leadership and service to the Harrisonburg community. Throughout the evening, fans can fill out Thank-You Cards to share messages of appreciation for veterans, active-duty military members, first responders, and other community heroes.   Â
JMU Volleyball will welcome the next generation of Dukes fans for Youth Sports Day on Sept. 26 as youth volleyball teams from across the Valley are invited to participate in a parade on the court between sets two and three! Youth athletes are encouraged to wear their club, school, or recreation league jerseys and represent their teams throughout the day. Fans can also receive a JMU mini volleyball giveaway while supplies last.Â
Join JMU Volleyball for a special Homecoming series at the Convocation Center on Oct. 15-16 against App State. Thursday's match will serve as Greek Life Night while also recognizing Hilinski's Hope and JMU Volleyball's commitment to raising awareness for student-athlete mental health. Friday's match celebrates Homecoming and Alumni Night, welcoming former Dukes back to Convo. Â
JMU Volleyball hosts Coastal Carolina for a Halloween weekend series on Oct. 30-31. Friday's match will serve as Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night, presented by CommonWealth One, and will feature the recognition of the 2026 JMU Volleyball Most Valuable Professors, who are player nominated. Saturday's JM-BOO match brings Halloween fun to the Convo with a JMU-themed trick-or-treat experience. Arrive early to collect candy from stations hosted by JMU student-athletes, pick up a Halloween tote bag while supplies last, and show off your best costume in the JM-BOO Costume Contest for a chance to win a JMU Bookstore gift card!Â
The promotional schedule concludes Nov. 6-7 against Old Dominion. Friday's match will serve as Fan Appreciation Night and the Royal Rivalry presented by Towne Bank as JMU Volleyball thanks JMU Nation for its season-long support. Fans can receive a Convo Court rally towel while supplies last, take a photo with the Royal Rivalry trophy, and take part in raffles all match long.
The Dukes are serving it up in multiple ways on Saturday, as the match celebrates Serve It Up Night, Senior Night and the Royal Rivalry presented by Towne Bank. Fans can enjoy a food-focused atmosphere with samples and giveaways from JMU Sports Properties partners, take part in interactive food-themed elements around the concourse, take a photo with the Royal Rivalry trophy, and receive a JMU Volleyball spatula while supplies last. The match will also include a pre-match ceremony honoring the 2026 JMU Volleyball Senior Class!Â

James Madison Athletics will continue cashless operations for all home athletics competitions. The cashless operations apply to stadium ticketing operations as well as all concessions, which are operated by campus dining vendor, JMU Dining, and stadium bookstore merchandise sales, which are managed by Follett. Fans looking to make purchases at any JMU Athletics events will need to have a debit or credit card accessible. Concessions and the Team Stores will accept all versions of mobile pay (Apple Pay, Google Pay, Samsung Pay). Reverse ATMs will not be offered at any venue. Fans are encouraged to make sure they have a debit or credit card available prior to entry. Â
