Dukes Celebrate Senior Day on Saturday Against Georgia Southern
- James Madison men's basketball - winners of eight straight Sun Belt Conference games - is set to wrap up its home slate with a matchup against the Georgia Southern Eagles on Saturday, Feb. 22 at 4 p.m. inside the Atlantic Union Bank Center.
- JMU dispatched Georgia State 83-63 on Thursday night - led by 23 points from Bryce Lindsay and an excellent second half which saw the Dukes shoot 58.1 percent from the field. Georgia Southern fell in overtime at App State, 79-74, after battling back from multiple double-digit deficits.Â
- The James Madison men's basketball program will celebrate six senior players prior to Saturday's contest: Shane Feden, Jarrell Pope, Noah Williams, Ebenezer Dowuona, Elijah Hutchins-Everett, and Mark Freeman.
- The game will stream on ESPN+ with Curt Dudley (PxP), Kirby Dean (color), and David Hulvey (sideline). Dave Riggert will provide radio coverage on WSVA 92.1 FM | 550 AM and the Varsity Network App, with coverage beginning 30 minutes before tip.Â

- Georgia Southern holds an even 14-14 record, including a 6-9 record in Sun Belt play. The Eagles are fresh off a 79-74 overtime loss to at App State on Thursday. The Eagles trailed by double figures in both halves of the contest and battled back to force extra time, but couldn't complete the comeback.
- Adante' Holiman leads the Sun Belt and Eagles in overall scoring with 17.4 points per game. In conference play, Holiman has produced 18.8 points per game, including over 20 in his last three outings. Eren Banks is scoring 9.3 points per game while shooting 41 percent from beyond the arc.
- Overall, Georgia Southern is fifth in the Sun Belt in scoring offense (74.6 ppg) while yielding the second-most points per game (76.8) in the league. Dukes Reach 10 Conference Wins For Third Consecutive Season
- JMU's win at Coastal on Saturday marked the Dukes' 10th in Sun Belt play this season, marking the first time the men's basketball program has won 10 or more conference games in three consecutive seasons since 1991-94.Â
- In the past three seasons, the Dukes are 48-13 (.786) in conference play and own the best overall winning percentage (.742) since joining the league in 2022.Â
- If the Dukes reach 20 wins, it will also be the first time since 1991-94 that JMU has reached that milestone. JMU also clinched a winning season last Saturday at Coastal, the first time the program has achieved a winning season in five straight seasons since 1988-95 under Lefty Driesell.Â
Spradlin Knows Success
- JMU Head Coach Preston Spradlin now owns the second-most wins by a first-year JMU head coach (18). The record for most wins in JMU coach's first year is Matt Brady, who won 21 games in 2008-09.Â
- As a head coach overall, Spradlin has won 20+ games in each of his last four seasons. Since the beginning of the 2020-21 season, he owns a record of 112-50 (.691) with two regular season and conference tournament championships and two trips to the NCAA Tournament.Â
Cookin' at the Bank
- The Atlantic Union Bank Center has been the home of James Madison men's and women's basketball since the 2020-21 season.Â
- In that span, the JMU is 56-16 (.778) at home and 21-5 (.807) against Sun Belt opponents.Â
- In the 2024-25 season, JMU is 12-2 inside the friendly confines of the AUBC with losses to George Mason (Nov. 29, 66-61) and App State (Jan. 18, 58-50).
- In 2023-24, JMU finished 14-1 at home, its only loss coming to App State (59-55) on Jan. 13, 2024.

PARKING
Reserved Parking
- All parking pass holders — both Spot-Specific and Reserved — will enter through the North Entrance of the Ballard Parking Deck. For those entering through the North Entrance, all parking is reserved and first-come-first-serve. There will be no spot-specific parking available for doubleheaders.
General Parking
- Accessible via the South Entrance of the Ballard Parking Deck as well as the adjacent surface lots (C12, D3, and R4), general parking is available beginning two hours before game time. General parking is free of charge, available on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved in advance.
