SALEM, Va.- James Madison softball pitching held opponents to two runs on seven hits in 14 innings of work, as the offense handled business in a 2-1 victory against Robert Morris and a 6-1 defeat of Bucknell, on day one of the Hokie Invite at the Moyer Softball Complex on Friday Night.

Madalyn Johnson and
Payton List combined to hold Robert Morris (2-3) to just one run in game one, striking out five. List earned her third consecutive victory for JMU (5-7) in the circle and has lowered her season ERA to 0.91.

Kirsten Fleet dominated Bucknell (4-6) in game two, holding the Bison to just one run on two hits in seven innings, her third career complete game.

Offensively,
Reed Butler and List had three hits on the day, with Butler tying a career-high on a three-hit performance against Bucknell.
Kylee Gleason paced the Dukes with a three-RBI game, her first of the season.

Lexi Rogers contributed a pinch-hit home run to left field in game two to start James Madison's three-run top of the seventh. It was Rogers' first pinch-hit home run of her career and her first home run of the 2025 campaign.
