HARRISONBURG, Va. –
Annalicia Goodman and
Jamia Hazell – standouts from the James Madison women's basketball 2025 senior class – will take on roles as graduate assistants for the 2025-26 season, as announced by Head Coach
Sean O'Regan on Thursday afternoon.
Goodman wrapped up her five-year career tied for the third-most games played in program history (140), logging over 2,000 minutes of action for the Dukes. The Newport News, Va. native played in all 36 games this past season, making two starts. She scored in double figures four times off the bench in 2024-25, highlighted by registering a season-high 13 points on 6-of-9 (.667) from the field in 17 minutes against Coastal Carolina in the semifinals of the Sun Belt Women's Basketball Championship on March 9.
The forward concluded her playing time in Harrisonburg averaging 4.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in 15.8 minutes per game. Goodman will continue to pursue a master's degree in Adult Education/Human Resource Development for the 2025-26 academic year.
Hazell finished her career as the program's all-time leader in games played (157) and tied for sixth in games started (120). The Raleigh, N.C. native joined JMU's 1,000-point club during the 2023-24 campaign and tallied 1,373 across her five-year career. She started all 36 games in her redshirt senior season, averaging 7.1 points and 2.0 rebounds per contest. Hazell posted seven double-digit scoring performances this past season and finished third on the team in blocks (15).
The guard wrapped up her career averaging 8.7 points and 2.9 rebounds in 25.7 minutes per game. Hazell will also resume working towards a master's degree in Adult Education/Human Resource Development this season.
