JMU Lands 15 on NFHCA National Academic Squad

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Fifteen members of the James Madison field hockey team were selected to the 2025 NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad, as announced by the organization on Wednesday.

Earning the recognition for their hard work in the classroom are Skyler Brown, Azul Covarrubias, Mika Hilburger, Puck Jansen, Madelief Molier, Julie Narleski, Jola Ollrogge, Sydney Raguini, Alice Roeper, Avery Ruckman, Lilly Sweeney, Maddie Tierney, Lilly Turner, Astrid Van Triest, and Sophia Walch. The fifteen selections are the most by the program since having 21 Dukes earn honors following the 2021 season.

The NFHCA recognized more than 1,100 outstanding undergraduate student-athletes from 82 institutions on this year's list.

Sponsored by OPA Winning Teams, the NFHCA National Academic Squad program honors undergraduate student-athletes who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher through the fall semester, nominated by their NFHCA member coaches.
