NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. – James Madison lacrosse has been ranked No. 25 in the latest IWLCA Division I Coaches' Poll, as announced on Monday morning.
The ranking is JMU's first appearance in the poll since checking in at No. 22 in the third poll of the season on Feb. 16.
The recognition comes on the heels of a productive week for the Dukes in which they secured their third ranked win of the season with a 14-9 victory at No. 24 Richmond. Later in the week, the Dukes took down Vanderbilt, 14-9, on Senior Day to clinch the No. 2 seed in the 2026 American Women's Lacrosse Championship.
JMU remains the only team in the American to receive a top 25 ranking this season. The Dukes lead the conference in assists per game, ground balls per game, and caused turnovers per game, ranking top 25 nationally in all three categories.
The Dukes will close out their regular season schedule with an American Conference tilt at Old Dominion on Saturday, April 25. First draw is scheduled for 1 p.m. and will be streamed on ESPN+.
