IRVING, Texas – Nine current or former James Madison football student-athletes were recognized as 2026 members of the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society, as announced on Wednesday by the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame.
Kyle and McMurtrie are repeat honorees from the 2025 list.
In order to be honored, seniors or graduated players across all divisions must possess cumulative 3.2 grade-point average throughout their collegiate careers. This year, a record 2,596 players from 365 schools qualified for membership.
This is the sixth time since 2016 that JMU has had at least five players from a previous season honored by the NFF. This year's nine is the second-most awardees in a single season, a season removed from a program-record 11 selections in 2025.
